About the position
Welder/Millwrights are responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and systems. They also help carry out tasks as directed by the Mechanical Superintendent or Mechanical Foreman.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain industrial machinery, equipment, and systems
- Install piping and fluid handling systems
- Install, modify, and service conveyor systems
- Build, install, and modify duct systems
- Perform metal fabrication duties, including cutting and grinding
- Demolish equipment, machinery, or structures
- Erect or modify steel structures, including mezzanines, platforms, and supports
- Perform quality welds in both shop and field conditions
- Have working knowledge of pipe prep fit up and layout
- Supply personal tools
- Have reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Pass all required safety training required by state and federal agencies
- Work overtime and weekends as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience working in the mechanical industrial field
- 5-10 years of experience or equivalent knowledge base
