About the position

Houck Services, Inc., one of the area's leading Commercial and Industrial Specialty Contractors, is looking for experienced Epoxy Floor Installers/Painters to join the Commercial Industrial Department. Responsibilities

• Prepares various floor substrates to receive multiple floor finish types.
• Applies various floor finishes to prepped surface.
• Chips scrapes, and grinds high spots ridges, and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, hand chisels, and other hand tools.
• Cleans and preps area for application.
• Cleans construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Sprays materials such as water, steam, sand, sealants, solvents.
• Mixes ingredients to create compounds.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Spreads, levels and finishes flooring material using a rake, hand or power screed, roller cover.
• Washes and treats surfaces using chemicals as specified.
• Smooth surfaces with sandpaper, scrapers, steel wool or other tools.
• Covers existing surfaces with drop cloths, paper or masking tape for protection of surfaces.
• Mixes cement, sand, lime and water to produce concrete, grout or slurry.
• Cuts concrete, drills holes in concrete.
• Builds molds to shape and form material.
• Mixes multiple part flooring material using hand or power mixers.
• Cleans and preps area for application.
• Tends pumps, compressors, generators, kettles.
• Receives instructions from supervisor.
• Abides by all OSHA and Houck safety guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements

• Candidates must be willing to travel and stay out of town
• Ability to work Saturdays, Sundays
• Drivers license
