About the position

The Night Auditor/Hotel Front Desk Agent is responsible for managing all aspects of guest accommodation during the night shift. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a pleasant and memorable stay by handling check-ins, check-outs, and reservations while conducting night audit reports and financial closeouts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct night audit reports and daily financial closeout.
  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay).
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
  • Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean and fully-furnished.
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees.
  • Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate.
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

Requirements

  • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role.
  • Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS.
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Degree in hotel management is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • 1 year of hotel experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).
