About the position
Champion Hotels is seeking a highly motivated Hotel General Manager to lead an experienced team in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of urgency and personal initiative, with a proven track record in managing hotel operations effectively. This role focuses on driving sales, exceeding expectations for both team members and guests, and maintaining brand quality standards while managing budgeted revenues and expenses.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships.
- Qualify and retain in-house group and corporate business, assisting the Director of Sales with hotel sales strategies.
- Meet all Accounts Receivable standards and conduct monthly calls to ensure aging is current.
- Adhere to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
- Allocate funds, authorize expenditures, and complete budget planning.
- Review monthly financial reports and monitor the hotel's performance against budget.
- Manage human resources functions by controlling turnover, motivating employees, and focusing on employee development and retention.
- Protect the hotel and its assets through a preventative maintenance program.
- Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour, and Health laws.
Requirements
- Hotel Management experience required.
- General Manager experience preferred.
- Passion to provide exemplary guest service.
- Ability to create and develop a dynamic team.
- Must be flexible.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Proficiency with basic computer (PC) and office technology.
- Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management a plus.
- Local market experience a plus.
