About the position

This position is responsible for greeting guests at the door, seating them, and presenting clean menus in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. The role focuses on ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus, and informs them of any specials.
• Ensures complete guest satisfaction and strives to exceed expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list and quotes wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available.
• Runs the floor plan board and observes tables to keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Cleans and wipes down tables, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
• Fulfills various side work projects including replacing condiments, cleaning windows, and sweeping floors.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and leave to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintains restrooms throughout the shift by refilling paper towels and hand soap.
• Folds t-shirts and organizes merchandise.
• Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

• Ability to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Must be able to read, write, and determine wait times based on company procedures.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Must report to work when scheduled and on time with a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 16 years of age or older.
