About the position
The Restaurant Host/Hostess at Hilton Houston Convention Center is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role is crucial in maintaining the restaurant's operational flow and supporting team members in various tasks to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
- Assist others with side work including cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware
- Ensure knowledge of the menu
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Assist fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships
Requirements
