About the position

The Host Family Lead Manager is responsible for leading host families and Local Coordinators recruiting initiatives to secure host families for high school exchange students. This position manages all social media platforms and converts social media leads. The Host Family Lead Manager is responsible for placing a minimum of 10 students in the local community and supervising them during their exchange experience. This position manages nationwide lead development in cooperation with Regional Managers and is responsible for mentoring and training field staff to identify potential host families. Additionally, this role maintains excellent relationships with host families to retain and gain referrals for other potential hosts. The Host Family Lead Manager reports to the President of High School in the USA and provides excellent service to team members and external customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading host families and Local Coordinators recruiting initiatives to secure host families for high school exchange students
  • Manage all social media platforms and convert social media leads
  • Place a minimum of 10 students in the local community and supervise them during their exchange experience
  • Connect each student with a host family
  • Recruit and onboard Local Coordinators nationwide
  • Train Local Coordinators in the best practices of finding host families
  • Manage nationwide lead development by providing training, feedback, support, and mentorship in cooperation with Regional Managers
  • Responsible for mentoring and training field staff to identify potential host families nationwide
  • Develop, update, and maintain a valid host family database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local host families
  • Develop annual calendar of contacts with existing and potential host families
  • Develop an effective and timely host family appreciation program
  • Research and utilize social media as a relationship-building tool
  • Collaborate with the management team, Local Coordinators, host families, and students to resolve issues promptly
  • Develop and promote effective referral and recognition programs for alumni who host students and refer host families
  • Explore and develop new sources of host families
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in the high school exchange industry
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong desire to achieve host family confirmation goals
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Ability to build effective business relationships to achieve Company goals
  • Attention to detail and critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • High standards for integrity, honesty, professionalism, and work ethic
