About the position
The Host Cashier position at Table Mountain Casino is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional guest service and managing guest transactions. The role requires maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, accurately processing payments, and assisting guests with their needs while ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a smile and pleasant body language.
- Provide prompt, courteous guest service at all times following the Casino's guest service standards.
- Timely escort guests to tables.
- Answer phones and respond to guest requests.
- Record all transactions in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and comp procedures accurately and complete paperwork properly.
- Assist guests and servers with Food and Beverage orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with beverage service as necessary.
- Keep work area clean and stocked at all times.
- Prepare area for the next shift prior to leaving.
- Clean tables as needed and refill or replace menus as necessary.
- Count and balance bank at the beginning and end of the shift.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu items and full utilization of all POS equipment.
- Process to-go orders and assist with daily catering deliveries.
- Assist servers, utility porters, and bussers with catering events to maximize guest service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
- Six (6) months of cash handling and guest service experience is required.
- ServSafe certification is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to provide excellent guest service required.
- Must be able to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
