About the position
As a Host/Busser at Sushi Katana, you will be essential in providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role involves greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, all while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and take them to their tables
- Take and organize reservations, and pack to-go orders
- Clear and reset tables in a timely manner
- Refill water glasses and provide additional condiments as needed
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils from tables
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and dining areas
- Assist with general cleaning tasks in the restaurant
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest needs
Requirements
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant guest services
- Familiarity with food service operations and procedures
- Experience using POS (Point of Sale) systems, such as Aloha POS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
