About the position
Join our Rocky Mount team as a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Physician, a role designed for you. This position requires working exclusively overnight shifts, and candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule while delivering exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. As part of a closely knit, established team of 18 physicians and six advanced practice providers (APPs), you will be supported by a clinical performance nurse. UNC Nash is a well-established hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, offering a wide range of services, including a semi-open ICU, intensive care coverage, and multidisciplinary collaboration. We welcome complex cases while ensuring our team is supported with resources like intensivists and e-ICU. Responsibilities
- Provide hospitalist care in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night.
- Participate in the code team, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule.
- Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
Requirements
- Board-certified physician with experience in hospital medicine or a desire to transition into the field.
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
