The Hospice Field On-Call Registered Nurse at Calvary Hospital is responsible for providing emergent and urgent nursing care to hospice patients during after-hours periods. Responsibilities

• Provide emergent and urgent nursing care to hospice patients during after-hours periods.
• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to the patient's goals of care and provide compassionate support.
• Utilize EMR systems and basic computer applications for patient documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, including hospice, medical-surgical, or community home health.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Strong clinical expertise in end-of-life care and symptom management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work flexibly and handle sensitive situations compassionately.
• Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work non-judgmentally with diverse patient populations.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
