About the position

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Director of Clinical Services to join our HealthONE Hospice & Family Care team. This role involves providing input in the planning and administration of the Hospice agency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and overseeing clinical services for hospice patients. The director will supervise staff, maintain survey readiness, and implement quality assessment processes. The position may also require direct patient care and managing a caseload. Responsibilities

  • Provide input in the planning and administration of the Hospice agency as per policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, orient, and evaluate all Hospice staff, providing mentoring and training.
  • Maintain the Hospice agency in a state of survey readiness at all times.
  • Provide clinical oversight for all Hospice patients, including referrals, admissions, and evaluations.
  • Coordinate IDG meetings to ensure quality care for patients.
  • Implement and maintain an effective quality assessment process improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Oversee documentation in the Electronic Medical Record's application to ensure compliance and quality care.
  • May provide direct patient care and manage a caseload.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a professional nurse with two (2) years administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Hospice and/or relevant end of life care experience preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of service.
  • Meets all additional requirements for hire including state specific requirements.
