MSPCC, a division of Eliot, is seeking passionate, creative and motivated professionals to be home visitors in our Healthy Families program. Healthy Families is a parenting education program that supports young, first-time parents to create a stable, nurturing environment for their child. Our approach is relationship-based, culturally respectful, family-centered, and strength-based. Our focus is on the well-being of both the child and the parent as well as the quality of their interactions. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a high school or equivalent diploma as well as experience working directly with children and families from culturally diverse communities. Equally important is an ability to establish trusting relationships and maintain personal and professional boundaries while providing supportive services. Eagerness to learn new skills, openness to reflective feedback and willingness to engage in a robust training schedule are crucial for this position. You will be supported by consistent weekly supervision with your program supervisor, and regular team meetings with colleagues in your program. An intensive training plan exists to orient you to both the agency's culture and policies and the Healthy Families program model. Additional role-specific training is in place to help you develop and grow your knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child interactions as well as build your skills in assessing family needs, conducting child development screens, identifying safety risks and developing goal plans with families.
