About the position

The Home Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, setup, and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies in patients' homes. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, ensuring that clients and their families receive proper education and support regarding the equipment. The technician must also handle administrative tasks, including scheduling and documentation, while maintaining a high standard of care and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and set up medical equipment and supplies in clients' homes.
  • Perform equipment checks and ensure proper functioning of all items delivered.
  • Educate clients and their families/caregivers on the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and equipment used.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Safeguard company assets while in care of the equipment.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer and keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a heavy phone load and multitask effectively.
