About the position
The Home Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position at Accredo involves providing critical infusion medications to patients in their homes. This role emphasizes building relationships with patients and ensuring their overall well-being through effective communication and follow-up care. The nurse will work independently, making decisions that lead to optimal patient outcomes while collaborating with pharmacists and therapeutic resource centers.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusion medications in patients' homes.
- Provide follow-up care and manage patient responses to ensure their well-being.
- Document all interactions, including assessments, treatments, and progress updates.
- Act as the main point of contact for patient status updates.
- Empower patients by focusing on their overall health and well-being.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Florida.
- 2+ years of RN experience.
- 1+ year of experience in critical care, acute care, or home healthcare.
- Strong skills in IV insertion.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel within a designated area.
- Ability to do patient visits 2-3 days per week, mostly on weekdays, with some evening or weekend visits.
- Flexibility to work different shifts on short notice.
