About the position
The Home Infusion Nurse (RN) position at Accredo involves traveling to patients' homes to administer critical infusion drugs while fostering meaningful relationships with patients. This role emphasizes patient empowerment, autonomy in decision-making, and comprehensive patient care, ensuring that all patient needs are met through collaboration with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes to administer IV infusion medications autonomously.
- Document all interactions and communications with patients, including assessments and treatments.
- Act as the single point of contact for regular updates on patient status to ensure all clinicians are informed.
- Empower patients by coaching them on their overall well-being and health management.
- Challenge oneself to improve nursing skills and handle difficult situations with support from the team.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of residence.
- BSN degree with 2+ years of relevant RN experience, ASN degree with 5+ years, or Nursing Diploma with 8+ years of relevant RN experience.
- 1+ years as a specialty RN in a critical care, acute, or home healthcare environment.
- Strong IV insertion skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel within an assigned geographic area.
