About The Position
Provides assistance in participants daily routine, activities and personal care at their place of residence. This role involves active participation in a training program, including class reading, discussion, and written coursework. Trainees will be expected to skillfully and safely perform all activities listed on the home health aide competency test and demonstrate knowledge by scoring 80% or higher on quizzes and exams. Mandatory attendance at all required training classes and clinical orientations is expected.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Driver's License (not required for ElderONE)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to two (2) years of direct patient care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to meet physical demands, such as continuous standing or walking and lifting weight up to 35 lbs.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
