About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio. The start time varies based on your background: STNA license holders can start in 1-3 days, those with an HHA certificate (30+ hours) or 1+ year of experience working under an RN or LPN can start in 5-8 days, and individuals new to caregiving can start in 1-2 weeks after completing free training. All paths lead to the same job, clients, and support. The role involves assisting elderly clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and companionship. It is a physical role requiring the aide to be on their feet most of the day and assist clients with mobility. Aides do not administer medication or perform medical tasks. The company emphasizes that this is a calling for those who genuinely care about the elderly community, as clients depend on their consistent presence. The job requires a commitment to reliability and empathy, as client well-being is paramount. The company matches aides with clients based on stated limits such as pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times. Aides typically have 2-4 regular clients per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Shifts can range from 2-8 hours depending on client needs. Requirements

Driver's license
Own car with insurance that covers work driving
Pass background checks
Work at least 20 hours/week
Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM)
Legal right to work in the US
Must be at least 18 years old
STNA license (active or expired) OR HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN unless online) OR 1+ year of experience working under an RN or LPN at a qualifying facility.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, getting dressed, and meal preparation.
Perform light cleaning and run errands for clients.
Provide companionship to clients.
Assist clients with moving around.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Report incidents within 24 hours.
Maintain good feedback from clients.
Avoid being the reason a client leaves Haven Home Care.
Answer office calls and texts quickly.
Send updated documents when requested (insurance, license, training).
Complete feedback forms when sent.
