About the position
The Home Health Aide/STNA position at First Choice Home Health involves providing compassionate care and assistance to patients in their homes. Responsibilities
- Provide health care services in patients' residences
- Perform domestic and household tasks
- Assist with clients' personal care activities
- Maintain patients' care records and document provided services
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
- Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
Requirements
- Must have STNA certificate, HHA Certificate, or CNA
- Proven working experience as a home health aide
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
- Nursing and health care administration skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- First Aid training
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in home care (1 year preferred)
- State Tested Nursing Assistant certification (preferred)
- Certified Home Health Aide certification (preferred)
