Responsibilities
- Help with personal care or homemaking in a client's home
- Meal plan and preparation for those who need it
- Provide companionship and light housekeeping
- Follow a care plan to provide the best possible care under the direction of an RN
- Communicate with the local branch
- Document care provided and complete required forms for the client's records
- Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients
- Report any observed or reported changes in the client's condition to the Registered Nurse
- Participate in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- State ID/valid license and reliable transportation
- Professionalism and great attendance
- Desire to help others
- Active and verifiable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification OR 1 year of supervised, verifiable experience within the last 3 years
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care
- Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in personal care/homemaking is preferred but not required
- 1+ years of experience is highly preferred
