About the position

Resillion is seeking a part-time, on-site Quality Assurance Specialist to perform A/V linear passes, ensuring the accuracy, sync, and quality of audio, video, and subtitles. The role involves conducting logic and navigation quality control, confirming functionality and presence of all assets against client specifications, and checking video assets for quality issues such as dropouts, corruption, and blocking. Additionally, the specialist will perform compatibility testing across a matrix of devices based on product specifications and document any issues observed in a clear and technically proficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform A/V linear passes, checking and confirming accuracy, sync, and quality of audio, video, and subtitles.
• Conduct logic and navigation quality control, confirming functionality and presence of all assets against client specifications.
• Check video assets for quality issues, including dropouts, corruption, and blocking.
• Perform compatibility testing, checking for basic functionality on a matrix of devices based on product specifications.
• Write up any issues observed in a clear, accurate, technically proficient manner.

Requirements

• Experience utilizing various devices for both physical media and streaming playback (set top boxes, gaming systems, streaming media players, etc.).
• Experience with FileMaker.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Deep understanding of DVD & Blu-Ray production processes, Surround Sound, Dolby ATMOS, HD, UHD, and regional products (domestic and international).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A love of television and movies and a genuine curiosity about the technology involved in creating them.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
