About the position

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by offering personalized care and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including supported lifting as necessary.
• Monitor and document changes in clients' health status or behavior.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being.
• Ensure adherence to resident rights and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Assist individuals with developmental disabilities or other disabilities in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and long-term care practices.
• Familiarity with resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence.
• Ability to use proper, safe body mechanics when supporting clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not required.
