About The Position

The Durable Restoration company is looking for someone who wants to learn the craftsmanship of restoring and preserving historic sites and monuments through our apprenticeship/training program. Our focus is in historic masonry, carpentry and historic roofing (slate, tile and copper) using historic means and methods. Through our in house training program you will receive paid, hands on learning and instruction to become a skilled craftsman in the historic trades. We are looking for someone who appreciates historic structures and monuments and wants to contribute to restoring and preserving their history for future generations to come. We specialize in preserving our local community as well as historic landmarks across the US.

Requirements

  • Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic
  • A great attitude and be coachable
  • Retain teaching and instruction received from your Foreman
  • Must be able to carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be comfortable working at heights using ladders, man lifts or scaffolding
  • Must be able and willing to travel as needed for 2-3 weeks at a time.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Nice To Haves

  • A valid drivers license with 4 pts or less is preferred but not required
  • Laborer experience preferred but not required
