About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time High School teacher for the 2026-27 academic year to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week in Phoenix, AZ. Classes may include Trigonometry, Chemistry, and Biology. This center serves West Phoenix, Central Phoenix and West Valley areas. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required, as training will be provided. The ideal applicant may have experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching their own children, or teaching in a classical or private school. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The positions are hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. Center Hours are Mondays and Thursdays 8:30am-3:15pm. Tutors must be willing to prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. Applicants must be available to attend 3 mandatory training days: August 3, 4 and 10, 2026 (8am-5pm, no childcare is provided for training but nursing infants are welcome). All employees of Regina Caeli are required to have a clear background check.
