About the position
Soliant Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Science Teacher to inspire and guide students in New Rochelle, NY. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school team and engage students in exploring the wonders of science, particularly in Environmental Science.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with state and district standards.
- Teach a range of science courses, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, tailored to high school students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, projects, and other assessments.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Science Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Valid New York State teaching certification in Science (grades 7-12).
- Minimum 1+ years teaching experience required.
- Experience teaching science in a high school setting is highly preferred.
