About the position

Holton USD 336 is seeking applications for a Full-Time High School Science (Biology/A&P) Teacher position for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Applicant must have (or be able to obtain) a Certified Teaching license with the proper endorsement. Applicants willing to obtain licensure through a two-year Transition to Teaching Program are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Teach high school science courses, specifically Biology and Anatomy & Physiology.
  • Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff.
  • Participate in professional development and training.

Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Teaching license with the proper endorsement.
  • Willingness to obtain licensure through a two-year Transition to Teaching Program.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching high school science.
  • Coaching or sponsorship experience in extracurricular activities.
