About The Position
Zaniac Learning is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School Chemistry Instructor to join their team and teach Regular, Honors, and AP Chemistry courses. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to make science come alive for students in grades 9–12. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or currently studying Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of high school-level Chemistry curriculum, including AP content
- Experience teaching high school students
- Enthusiastic, student-centered, and adaptable instructional style
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and relatable way
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Availability to teach weekday afternoons and/or weekends
Nice To Haves
- AP-level teaching experience is a major plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and rigorous Chemistry lessons aligned with Regular, Honors, and AP Chemistry standards
- Support students with varying academic levels through hands-on experiments, clear explanations, and personalized support
- Develop or adapt lesson plans and lab experiences to ensure deep understanding and real-world application
- Prepare students for AP Chemistry exams using College Board guidelines
- Maintain a positive, safe, and curiosity-driven learning environment
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure academic excellence and student success
