About the position

CHI St. Anthony Hospital is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, management, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Obtain a comprehensive general health history from patients.
  • Provide OB/GYN medical services within the scope of licensure and current standards of care.
  • Screen for health risks and health promotion needs.
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations.
  • Identify deviations from normal findings in history and physical examination.
  • Order or perform screening and diagnostic tests based on findings.
  • Interpret screening and diagnostic tests and develop differential diagnoses.
  • Diagnose gynecologic, obstetric, reproductive, and common primary care health conditions.
  • Develop a plan of care based on assessment findings and diagnoses.
  • Provide health promotion, disease prevention education, and counseling.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and initiate non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to meet health needs.
  • Participate in care coordination for women with complex healthcare needs.
  • Actively participate in the development and review of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and comply with hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited medical program recognized as license eligible for the Oregon State Medical Board.
  • Current Oregon State Licensure.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Certifications as required by Medical Staff Credentialing/Bylaws.
  • Knowledge of clinic/hospital practices and equipment usage.
  • Skill in communicating effectively with patients and families.
  • Ability to write and/or dictate reports and correspondence.
