About the position

Astrion is seeking several Space Logistics Specialists to support the new US Space Force (USSF) contract Hemisphere. Hemisphere's mission is to support the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power group which is the Space Systems Command arm focused on delivering cyber, ground- and space-based systems that rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute and predict threats to national, allied and commercial space systems. Hemisphere is a 10 year, $2.5 billion program with very solid job security.

Responsibilities

  • Establish comprehensive product support strategies that are directly aligned with DoD acquisition frameworks
  • Ensure logistics considerations are embedded throughout the system lifecycle-from requirements definition to system disposition
  • Identify and operationalize critical infrastructure, sustainment processes, and procedural frameworks necessary to support high-reliability space systems and components
  • Integrate systems engineering design attributes-such as reliability, maintainability, availability, and supportability (RMAS)-with the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements
  • Develop and execute procurement and budgeting strategies tailored to support long-term logistics and readiness objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders-including engineering, finance, contracting, and operational commands-to create data-driven logistics supportability assessments
  • Lead efforts to integrate logistics planning into early design phases using tools such as Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) modeling, and Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR)

Requirements

  • 3-10 years of experience in establishing comprehensive product support strategies
  • Experience in identifying and operationalizing critical infrastructure, sustainment processes, and procedural frameworks
  • Extensive experience in integrating systems engineering design attributes with the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements
  • Developed and executed procurement and budgeting strategies tailored to support long-term logistics and readiness objectives
  • Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders to create data-driven logistics supportability assessments
  • Lead efforts to integrate logistics planning into early design phases using tools such as FMECA, LCC modeling, and LSAR
