Responsibilities

  • Teach high school students in grades 11 and 12 about heavy equipment repair.
  • Supervise students during practical and academic lessons.
  • Prepare students for college or entry-level work in the field of heavy equipment repair.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback to support their learning.
  • Maintain a safe and effective learning environment for all students.

Requirements

  • NYS Certification in career & technical subject area or NYS Certification in Technology with heavy equipment repair experience.
  • Ability to complete mechanical tasks with a variety of heavy equipment machines.
  • NATEF or ASE background/certification is helpful.
  • OSHA 10 certification is helpful.
  • Ability to teach CDL-B is helpful.
