About the position
The Heavy Equipment Operator position at WM involves operating a variety of heavy equipment vehicles for the purpose of spreading and compacting construction demolition, commercial, and residential waste at post-collection facilities. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety in waste management processes.
Responsibilities
- Operates heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; maintains accurate records.
- Moves and positions raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment.
- Follows standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of previous experience operating heavy equipment.
