About the position

We are seeking seasonal on-call Heavy Equipment Operators to join our winter team. This position involves operating heavy machinery to clear snow and tackle the challenges that come with winter weather. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be part of a dedicated team that thrives on teamwork and transforming obstacles into achievements. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our customers receive top-notch snow removal services, adhering to their specifications and quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to earn competitive pay while working in a dynamic environment during the winter season. The position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15. During this time, you will have the chance to work part-time with flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. There may also be opportunities for full-time positions based on your performance and the business's needs. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will not only be operating heavy machinery but also contributing to a team that values safety, communication, and efficiency in all operations. In this role, you will be responsible for completing snow removal tasks safely and effectively, utilizing your skills to navigate various equipment and conditions. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with your team regarding any on-the-job issues that may arise, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Additionally, you will be required to submit details of your hours, activities, and materials used in an accurate and timely manner, as well as complete all necessary training and onboarding processes related to snow removal safety and route learning.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Professional Commercial snow removal experience preferred
  • Smart Phone
  • Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, agricultural tractors, tractor-trailers, and bulldozers preferred, but not required
  • Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
