About the position
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Laurita, Inc., you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, particularly excavators, to support excavation, underground utility, and heavy highway projects. The role requires a focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork to meet tight deadlines while ensuring the safety of all team members on site.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment safely and productively.
- Support the completion of excavation, underground utility, and heavy highway work.
- Perform daily maintenance and track hours on utilized equipment.
- Participate in training and adhere to strict PPE and safety policies.
- Take direction from supervisors to complete daily tasks and meet job site goals.
- Be a proactive team member to achieve high-quality completed products for clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in the United States.
- At least 2 years of verifiable work experience operating heavy equipment in a similar environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in trenching and utility installation.
- Experience operating GPS-enabled machinery.
- Experience on construction sites along with certifications.
