From performing complex preventative maintenance tasks to diagnosing and repairing engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, your expertise will keep our fleet in top-notch condition. With experience in diesel heavy equipment maintenance, a sharp ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and proficiency in reading service manuals and schematics, you're the ideal candidate. Responsibilities

  • Perform complex preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair engines, hydraulic systems, powertrain components, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
  • Complete records such as work orders, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
  • Service and maintain other equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and other equipment.
  • Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in maintenance & repair of diesel heavy equipment (yellow iron).
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical/mechanical issues and complete in a safe timely manner.
  • Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics etc.
  • Computer diagnostic skills.
  • Acceptable Driving Record.
  • Must possess personal tools.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Problem solving, oral communication, analytical ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Welder Certification - Full fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/brazing etc.)
  • Knowledge of MS Office & Outlook.
