About the position

The Heavy Civil Construction Project Engineer will oversee and manage water, sewer, and roadway construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, estimators, and project coordinators, to maintain project quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with government entities and private development clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide effective leadership to project teams, including site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • 1 year or more of experience working as a Project Manager in the heavy civil engineering field.
  • Experience with program management and operational management.
  • Experience in excavation, utility, grading, sewer, and underground construction projects.
  • Proficiency in HVSS software for estimating.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Agtec software.
