About the position
The Recovery Manager will lead a team of recovery specialists focused on recovering healthcare overpayments from providers. This role is essential in supporting team members by assessing their needs, developing personalized plans, and coordinating services to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to team success in a recovery/collections environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths and deficiencies of recovery team members and develop tailored care plans.
- Supervise daily activities of the recovery team, ensuring motivation and productivity.
- Review and analyze data related to team productivity and assess established KPIs.
- Utilize tools like Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict resolution strategies.
- Implement behavior management techniques to support employees in achieving their goals.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of recovery/collections, preferably in healthcare.
- Proven supervisory experience of at least 3 years in a production-based environment.
- Proficiency in data review tools, particularly Excel; Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
