About the position

As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Analyst at WTW, you will support various projects related to the design, funding, and financial analysis of employer health and welfare benefit programs. This role involves interfacing with client teams, contributing to analyses, and ensuring quality standards are met, while also providing opportunities for professional growth in health and benefits business acumen, financial skills, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple client teams in developing financial analyses and client deliverables.
  • Develop working proficiency in financial, actuarial, and analytics theories, models, and tools.
  • Assist with accurate claim reporting and financial modeling to guide client decisions.
  • Contribute to financial modeling of benefit plan designs and budget projections.
  • Execute specific tasks contributing to financial/actuarial deliverables for clients, adhering to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams for project management.
  • Build strong internal relationships and collaborate on cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 1+ year work experience in professional services, ideally in benefit consulting or health underwriting/actuarial functions.
  • Basic knowledge of health and welfare products and services.
  • Strong data management, math, and analytics capabilities.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong client service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.

Nice-to-haves

  • Progress towards completion of health actuarial designation or CEBS designation.
