About the position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Healthcare CSR to join our Glendale-based team for a special project. This role supports campus medical resources, patients, and affiliated providers by managing outbound communications and coordinating care-related tasks. Ideal for candidates with strong customer service and administrative skills, especially in healthcare or call center settings.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to patients to confirm pharmacy refills, schedule annual wellness visits, and conduct ER outreach for high-utilization patients.
  • Support new authorization processes and assist with additional projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and providers to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Use Excel to manage and track data; must be comfortable with basic functions such as filtering, copying, and pasting.
  • Assist with benefit verification, insurance authorizations, and data entry tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Route inbound calls to appropriate resources or assist directly with scheduling, patient education, and portal support.
  • Organize mailings for ER follow-ups, OB welcome packets, and portal activations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams.
  • Support enrollment, marketing, and provider transition efforts as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to company policies regarding attendance, punctuality, and conduct.

Requirements

  • Entry-level to intermediate experience in healthcare customer service or administrative support.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorization processes is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a bonus but not required.
