About The Position

Integrative Therapies is seeking a Healthcare Administration Intern for their Chapel Hill clinic. This role, also referred to as the Director of First Impressions, is crucial for providing world-class care and a 5-star client experience. The intern will be the front-line champion for patient care processes, embodying a Growth Mindset and creating a welcoming environment. This position reports directly to the Clinic Director and is essential to the company's mission.

Nice To Haves

Experience (1+ year strongly preferred) in a customer service or medical office administration role.
Knowledge of medical office procedures, including a web-based EMR platform.
Familiarity with medical coding, insurance verification, and third-party payer processes.

Responsibilities

Create positive first impressions and provide outstanding customer service.
Strategically manage the web-based scheduling system to maximize appointments and achieve a 90% patient arrival rate.
Collect and accurately document patient payments, verify insurance benefits, handle weekly bank deposits, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Maintain professional correspondence via phone, email, and fax, acting as the primary coordinator between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
Maintain the order and organization of the front office, demonstrating knowledge of operating procedures and commitment to process improvement.
Assist the marketing coordinator with marketing projects related to the Chapel Hill office.
