About the position
The Advanced Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) plays a crucial role in supporting and managing telehealth operations within the Department of Veterans Affairs. This position is stationed at a clinical care delivery site and involves preparing the clinical environment, managing telehealth technologies, and ensuring efficient operations for patient care. The role requires a blend of technical skills and patient interaction, making it essential for the delivery of telehealth services to veterans.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the clinical environment for telehealth services.
- Setting up medical telecommunications equipment for clinical examinations and treatments.
- Serving as an imager and data manager for store-and-forward telehealth.
- Monitoring and maintaining schedules for rooms, patients, technologies, and clinical providers to ensure efficient telehealth operations.
- Screening patients for telehealth modalities and referring those who do not meet established criteria to appropriate care.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required to apply for this job.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Primary Care Services or Connected Care (Telehealth) or equivalent education.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Completion of an online onboarding process is required for selected applicants.
Nice-to-haves
- Three years of Telehealth Experience is preferred.
