Responsibilities
- Assess work practices and environmental conditions for hazards to the health and safety of workers by conducting studies, analyzing findings, and preparing various reports.
- Conduct site visits, locally or remote, in a variety of conventional industrial shops, production areas, laboratories, confined areas, and outdoor work sites.
- Enter data into an industrial hygiene surveillance system data bank and retrieve data as required.
- Develop lesson plans and provide health education to small groups of workers concerning workplace hazards.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- One year of specialized experience conducting site visits to evaluate physical or environmental hazards to the health/safety of workers.
- Two years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Industrial Hygiene, Safety and Occupational Health Management.
- A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.
