About the position
This position is for a Medical Assistant within the Federal service, specifically in various locations including Fort Hall, ID, Salem, OR, Warm Springs, OR, Nespelem, WA, Omak, WA, and Toppenish, WA. Responsibilities
- Assist medical personnel in various health-related tasks.
- Answer medical office telephones and receive patients.
- Utilize electronic health records and obtain vital signs for patients.
- Prepare and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness.
- Administer vaccines and assist in diagnostic tests as directed by providers.
- Coordinate patient care plans and manage referrals for chronic patients.
- Participate in telehealth clinics and assist with patient preparation.
Requirements
- For GS-04: 1 year of general and specialized experience or 2 years of education above high school.
- For GS-05: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 or a full 4-year course of study.
- For GS-06: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05.
- For GS-07: Specialized experience equivalent to GS-06.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institute is required for GS-05 and above.
