About the position
This position is for a Medical Assistant within the Federal service, with locations in Fort Hall, ID; Salem, OR; Warm Springs, OR; Nespelem, WA; Omak, WA; and Toppenish, WA. Responsibilities
- Assist medical personnel in providing care to patients.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient information.
- Prepare and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness.
- Administer vaccines and assist with diagnostic tests as directed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage patient care.
Requirements
- For GS-04: 1 year of general and specialized experience or 2 years of education above high school.
- For GS-05: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 or a bachelor's degree.
- For GS-06: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05.
- For GS-07: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institute is required for GS-05 and above.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a family medicine-oriented medical facility.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Ability to perform minor surgical procedures and wound care.
