About the position

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Compliance and Integrity program.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of the Fort Yuma Service Unit's global healthcare compliance and integrity program.
  • Provide guidance on incorporating compliance-related activities into the operations of the Service Unit.
  • Review, update, and formulate Service Unit policies and procedures regarding compliance-related activities.
  • Promote extensive working relationships within and across service unit lines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement compliance functions.
  • Assist with plans related to Quality Assurance (QA) and Risk Management (RM) programs.
  • Conduct investigations of alleged violations of healthcare law and standards of conduct.
  • Collaborate with the compliance committee to incorporate the compliance program into the service unit's organizational structure.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment examination and background investigation.
  • Must have a degree in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields, or specialized experience in healthcare management.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9 level in the Federal service for GS-11 applicants.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in the Federal service for GS-12 applicants.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in overseeing compliance programs and promoting ethics and integrity.
  • Knowledge of health care delivery systems and regulations.
  • Proficient in preparing reports and presenting to executive leadership.
