About the position

The role of the Health Screening Specialist is on-site Health Risk Assessments as a member of the HRA team. Knowledge and skilled technique while performing blood pressure, pulse, body composition and phlebotomy are required. The specialist participates in processing of HRA, screening, or class paperwork and must be able to complete training and perform a variety of Health Screening procedures including urine drug screens, hearing testing, vision testing, pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and respirator fit testing. Additionally, the specialist promotes additional wellness services while on-site with a detailed knowledge of services and products offered by Corporate Health and Wellness. The position allows for flexible hours including early mornings, on-site travel to out-of-town locations, and accommodating multiple shifts and locations for contracted companies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site Health Risk Assessments as part of the HRA team.
  • Conduct blood pressure, pulse, body composition measurements, and phlebotomy.
  • Process HRA, screening, or class paperwork.
  • Complete various Health Screening procedures such as urine drug screens, hearing testing, vision testing, pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and respirator fit testing.
  • Promote additional wellness services with knowledge of Corporate Health and Wellness offerings.
  • Adapt to flexible hours, including early mornings and travel to out-of-town locations.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Health-related field or Certified Medical Assistant (job experience may substitute for educational requirements).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous medical testing and/or phlebotomy experience.
  • AHA Basic Life Support certification within 90-day probationary period.
