About the position
The Health Information Analyst II at Regions Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting Same Day Surgery by performing complex coding scenarios to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT Codes. This position involves coding analysis for individual patient stays, providing essential data for optimal financial reimbursement and statistical data accumulation. The role is remote, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Complete coding analysis of each individual patient stay.
- Provide accurate diagnoses, procedures, and relevant database information for optimal financial reimbursement.
- Collect unique and pertinent information and accumulate statistical data.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate from an associate or bachelor's degree program in health information or completion of a coding specialist program.
- 3-5 years' experience in ICD-10/CPT coding.
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, RHIT, or RHIA.
Nice-to-haves
- Graduate from an associate or bachelor's degree program in health information or completion of a coding specialist program.
- 5 years' experience in ICD-10/CPT coding.
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, RHIT, or RHIA.
