About the position
The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for the recruitment, supervision and placement of students who are skilled in the areas of competitive volleyball at the college level. The Coach must have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of volleyball, be able to establish rapport with the athletes, media and college personnel, have knowledge of eligibility requirements, possess good organization and communication skills, be able to promote the volleyball program, build a season and pre-season schedule, and evaluate all aspects of the volleyball program.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment of students skilled in competitive volleyball
- Supervision and placement of volleyball students
- Establish rapport with athletes, media, and college personnel
- Knowledge of eligibility requirements
- Promote the volleyball program
- Build a season and pre-season schedule
- Evaluate all aspects of the volleyball program
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent volleyball coaching experience
- Associate's degree
Nice-to-haves
- 3 years of coaching college volleyball
- Athletic team statistics experience
