About The Position

Collaboration is central to our approach, especially in our dual language immersion program where students in grades 1-5 alternate between English and Target Language classrooms. Teacher teams, composed of English and Spanish teachers, share responsibility for teaching curriculum that promotes students’ social, emotional, and academic growth in both languages. These teams communicate daily to plan lessons and discuss student progress, with additional collaboration during weekly meetings.

Requirements

Full fluency in Spanish and experience in immersion teaching
At least 3 years of teaching experience in grades K-6 with a proven track record of student learning
Strong understanding of instructional skills teaching through a balanced literacy approach in the reading and writing workshop model
Experience with problem-based mathematics instruction
Highly effective collaborator, eager to listen deeply, contribute to a team and achieve goals together
Deep dedication to learning and growing as an educator
Respect for, and appreciation of, a diverse community of learners, families and colleagues
Ability to embrace change and consider new perspectives

Responsibilities
