About the position

As a part of the Strategy, Transformation, and Sustainability function you will get a key role in shaping and executing the strategy and business planning process of Scandinavian Tobacco Group. As part of this process, you will work with the senior stakeholders, drive analysis on various business opportunities, as well as lead execution as a project manager on certain strategic projects. The range of strategic projects spans across functional topics (commercial, operational, value chain, etc.) and geographies. This position can be a great step in your career towards e.g., a more senior strategic position or a line business position in a truly international organization. You will contribute professional sparring on strategic and financial subjects towards the business and leadership team. We have built a cross-functional team that will focus on driving consumer insights, contributing to corporate and BU strategy development, running transformation initiatives, and driving forward the Group agenda in Sustainability. You will join a team of diverse individuals with different backgrounds, nationalities, and professional interests, who are united by passion to drive change and make STG a better company. We are busy and have exciting and important tasks ahead of us. The function is involved in the worldwide business of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group. You will be working out of our head office in Gentofte, Denmark or out of the U.S (Betlehem or Richmond), reporting to Senior Vice President, Strategy, Transformation, and Sustainability - and should anticipate approx. 10-20 travel days per year.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the process of strategic and business planning with the Executive Board and senior leaders in the organization
  • Drive strategic projects, incl. growth opportunities, group-wide strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Lead development and update of the long-term strategy for the Group, follow up on strategy implementation, and ensure that strategic agenda and Must Win Battles are anchored in the divisional and functional plans and day-to-day work
  • Identify strategic opportunities for the Group and drive business analysis to support decision-making on those opportunities
  • Support business areas with strategic analysis and sparring

Requirements

  • Solid and relevant economic/financial theoretical background, at the master's level
  • 5-10 years of experience from working in an international environment, preferably within strategy and business development, finance, commercial area, and/or management consulting
  • Proven track record of analytical work and strategic assignments
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Works in a systematic, structured, and analytical way
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and corporate finance
  • Experienced in project management and leadership
  • Finds an inner ignite in strategic matters but also takes pride in the execution
  • Motivated by navigating between many internal stakeholders in an international organization
