About The Position

As Head of Sales, you will own and drive Claio AI's commercial growth across Canada. You will be the primary architect of our go-to-market strategy for our dental AI suite, selling directly to dental clinics, group practices, and DSOs. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on selling and team leadership. A deep understanding of the dental clinic environment — how dentists think, how clinics operate, and what drives purchasing decisions — is essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the dental industry (dental technology, dental equipment, dental software, or dental supplies)
  • Proven track record of selling to dental clinic owners and practice decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of how dental clinics operate, including clinical workflows, procurement, and budget cycles
  • Existing network within the Canadian dental community (clinics, DSOs, dental associations, or study clubs)
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales management or director-level role
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow a sales team
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable selling a SaaS or technology product — able to translate technical features into clinical value
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot or equivalent)
  • Willingness to travel across Canada as required

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a national sales strategy for Claio AI's dental suite across Canadian markets
  • Identify, prospect, and close deals with dental clinics, multi-location group practices, and DSO networks
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach and demo to negotiation and contract signing
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team as the company scales
  • Set clear performance targets and hold the team accountable to KPIs and revenue goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and customer obsession
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the dental ecosystem (clinic owners, practice managers, dental associations, study clubs)
  • Represent Claio AI at dental conferences, trade shows, and professional events across Canada
  • Gather and relay market intelligence to inform product roadmap and positioning
  • Partner with the product team to translate clinical feedback into actionable feature insights
  • Work with marketing to develop compelling materials, case studies, and campaigns targeting dental professionals
  • Report directly to the CEO with regular updates on pipeline health, wins, and strategic opportunities
